Executive Vice President
Role
Jonathan serves as the primary operational and strategic leader of the company. Reporting directly to the President and Board of Directors,he is responsible for translating the organization’s long-range vision into tangible results.
This role provides unified leadership and guidance to all core business functions, ensuring that our Design, Project Management, Finance, and HR departments are aligned, integrated, and performing at a high level. He is ultimately responsible for the company’s operational and financial success, driving sustainable growth and ensuring the health of our integrated design-build model.

Experience
Started as draftsman on a board as well as time “in the shop” learning to weld, burn and operate various fabrication equipment. Over time moved through various responsibilities within the company including sales and design before becoming Vice President in 2005. Served on builder advisory boards for national building brands and industry associations. Managed company growth from four employees to over 20.

Todd Hippauf
Chief Financial Officer
Role
Todd serves as the financial leader of Schlosser Steel Buildings, providing strategic oversight of the company’s financial health and operational performance. Reporting to the executive leadership team, he is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, compliance, and the day-to-day financial operations of the business. His leadership ensures the company maintains strong financial discipline while supporting sustainable growth and informed decision-making across all departments.

Brings more than 26 years of financial leadership experience spanning public accounting firms, manufacturing, construction, and corporate finance. Prior to joining SSBI, Todd managed more than $1 billion in revenue while directing financial operations for 12 manufacturing facilities across the United States. His career also includes leadership roles within a nationally recognized commercial roofing organization, giving him broad expertise in financial management across multiple industries.

Rick Clark, SE, PE
Project Director
Role
Rick leads Schlosser Steel Buildings’ design-build project delivery, overseeing structural steel projects from initial concept through engineering, fabrication, and final installation. He provides leadership to cross-functional teams including engineering, architecture, drafting, and project management, ensuring every project is safe, efficient, well-coordinated, and aligned across design, fabrication, and construction. His collaborative approach helps deliver practical solutions that balance performance, constructability, and client expectations.

- Integrated Project Leader: Brings engineering, architecture, drafting, and construction teams together to create coordinated, efficient project solutions from concept to completion.
- Fabrication-Focused Engineer: Leverages close collaboration with SSBI’s fabrication team to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and optimized for manufacturing and erection.
- Technical Innovator: Continuously improves engineering processes through technology and workflow enhancements, including advancing SSBI’s integrated 3D modeling capabilities.
Experience
Rick joined Schlosser Steel Buildings in 2013 after building his career with structural engineering design firms. Since then, he has played a key role in expanding the company’s engineering capabilities, including transitioning workflows to integrated 3D modeling. Throughout his career, he has designed and managed more than 10 million square feet of projects across industries including food processing, logistics, healthcare, manufacturing, and recreational facilities.

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, University of Delaware; Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering, Lehigh University; Professional Engineer (multiple states); Structural Engineer (SE) licensed in Illinois and Georgia.

Ryan Fennell, AIA
Design Director
Role
Ryan leads the architectural design team at Schlosser Steel Buildings, establishing firm-wide design standards and overseeing projects from concept through completion. He mentors the design staff while ensuring each project balances creativity, functionality, and constructability.

Shawn leads design-build projects from the first client conversation through design, engineering, and construction. Working closely with the project management team, he helps turn customer goals into successful, well-executed projects.

Mike Yerkov
Project Manager
Role
Mike manages projects by keeping people, priorities, and details aligned from start to finish. He also serves as SSBI’s 3D Point Cloud Specialist, capturing field data to support accurate modeling and project coordination while providing drafting and detailing support when needed.
